Hey,
Everyone gets hungry,
and we all know that studying can make you especially hungry. So I’m here to
let you in on all the yummy food options at Macquarie.
The main place where
all the food outlets are is the Campus Hub in C10A, the ground level floor is a
food court with lots of different options including: burgers, Mexican, kebabs,
cafes and sandwich shops. There are lots of tables and chairs to sit on and
enjoy food with friends, and so many options that no one will go hungry.
Wicked Mexican
The second level of the
hub is split into thirds with a Chinese restaurant, the Ubar (not for people
under 18!) and the Presse Café. The café is another great place to hang out in
the hub, it has a pool table, arcade games and really amazing smoothies and
burgers. They even have Man vs. Food challenges. If you eat a massive chicken schnitzel
in under 15 minutes you can get your photo on the board, but be warned that
challenge isn't for the faint hearted.
The Presse Cafe
If you want to take a
break from uni and get some fresh air, then take a walk to the Macquarie Centre
(Mac Centre as it is affectionately known) it has shops galore for food. With
three different food courts the options never end, from burgers to fresh
gourmet sandwiches and different types of Asian cuisine there is something for
everyone. You can check out the options in this link http://www.macquariecentre.com.au/stores?catid=60.
Additionally at
Macquarie there are coffee carts and cafes scattered around so food and most
importantly coffees are never far away. To find out all the food options at MQU
go to the site here http://www.mq.edu.au/on_campus/food_and_shopping/food_drink/.
My tip for buying food
either at uni or the Mac Centre is that the retailers will offer cheaper prices
nearer to closing so they can sell the leftover food. As uni students are
always poor this is a great time to pick up a last minute snack or some early
dinner if you are having a late night. Try it out because even though the food is
delicious it can be a bit expensive if you are buying food for every meal.
As well the
Macquarie website offers some great deals for food on campus, you can check it
out here https://www.mq.edu.au/on_campus/food_and_shopping/special_offers_on_campus/.
